Through the process of interrogation, I came to see the thread between how much —or how little —our world is informed by the very underpinnings of form, fit, and function (F3). F3 is an ideological and physical framework that upholds interchangeable systems. If a new or alternative part matches the original form, fit, and function, it can serve as a substitute, without forcing a redesign of the system. Originating in military and navy logistics, I became intrested in F3 as a means to investigate how society distorts our humanity and our ability to become fully realized, independent beings.
